This Semester in Technology

So far in technology class this semester we have worked with concept maps, which I think is a real helpful tool to get your thoughts on paper. I could see this as being a helpful tool when teachers are trying to assess their students to find out what they already know and then after the lesson having them add to their map things the learned. Also this semester we have worked with online surveys and polls and how to analyze the data from them to create a newsletter on google docs. I think that the online surveys and polls are helpful tools for teachers because they are quick to create, easy to participate in, and provide helpful information. I also enjoyed using google docs because it is really helpful when you are working with a group. It is really helpful because all group members can collaborate on the same by document by editing and then re-shareing to the whole group. Finally, we worked with Livebinder, which I find the most useful so far. I believe that it can be really helpful because a teacher can create one on any topic with helpful information to share it with their students and parents. Also, students can create their own Livebinder as a learning portfolio from the school year.
